About
I am a Lecturer in Data Science at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). My research examines how worker skills, job structures, and behavioural mechanisms drive labour mobility and long-term workforce dynamics. I develop empirically calibrated agent-based models, skills-based analytical frameworks, and Bayesian approaches to studying skill acquisition and occupational transitions.
My work is applied and policy-facing. I collaborate with UK government departments and research partners on evidence-driven modelling of labour markets, with a focus on skills, hiring behaviour, and structural inequality. I also contribute to national training programmes on programming for UK administrative data.
Before joining UWE, I held research positions at the Alan Turing Institute and the University of Guelph, and completed my PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Waterloo.
